Quick and easy settings for your camera so auto focus won't ruin a photo opportunity but you can still use it because manual focus with the lens is to fiddly.
A new X100VI user here. Absolutely love the camera! Am trying out different recipes from fujixweekly.com. The challenge I have with any recipes is this - they seem so cool, but why should I choose one versus the other? Recipes / film simulations are such a subjective “feel” thing! Still trying to get a hang of my own decision-making process. I have assigned a function dial to be able to quickly flip through recipes in the viewfinder. I’m going to experiment with simply flipping through when taking a picture to see what “feels right” for what I’m trying to capture in that particular click. I’m curious to know how others make recipe/film simulation decisions - do you somehow find one that you like and then set it and forget it? Do you change it based on what you feel at the moment? Or some other strategy?
Great photo’s!
